Choose a hair colour to suit your complexion

Before choosing your new colour for the season, look at your skin under the natural light. Are you fair, dark, olive skinned or have you rosy cheeks? All reds, and golds add warmth to pale skins so avoid them if you have rosy cheeked.

Soft brown tones of burgundy or heather will compliment darker skins. Olive skins look better with darker shades while pale skin can be very dramatic with contrasting dark hair providing strong make-up is worn. Ash blondes can make you look even paler, so aim for darker blondes with a hint of gold. For those with more mature skin and grey hair a light 'soft' shade is advised. As your hair gets greyer or whiter your complexion gets paler. You may have once been a dark brown or black but this will no longer suit you!

At MOHH Salon or Academy at Arcadia Centre Athlone they will be delighted to discuss all options with you during your consultation.

This is a free service and has no commitment to it. If you do decide to go ahead with the colour a skin must be done 24-48 hours before your appointment just in case you have a sensitivity to colour.

It only takes two minutes to complete. If you are colouring you hair for years please note that colour ingredients change so this is why this test is so important for your safety.
