DEADE
Luan Gallery presents DECADE, a solo exhibition by famed Irish portrait painter James Hanley RHA.
James Hanley RHA comes to Luan Gallery this November with his first solo show since 2011: DECADE. Taking a look back at the past ten years of this seminal artist’s career, DECADE celebrates the work of one of Ireland’s most renowned portrait artists.
Ennis born artist and fellow eminent portrait painter Mick O’Dea RHA will introduce the exhibition at the launch in Luan Gallery on Friday, November 1, at 6pm.
DECADE will run from November 1 – December 15.

Tommy Fleming
Tommy Fleming returns to Roscommon Arts Centre as part of his biggest Irish tour to date, performing at the venue on Friday, November 1.

A new Cycle for Fun group has begun in association with Roscommon Sports Partnership. Training every Sunday morning at 10am sharp from Clann na nGael club house, Johnstown. All ages and levels catered for.

The Sheerins
The Sheerin Family continues with their regular once a month gig playing to a packed house in Cooney’s Hotel, Ballymahon.
This month on Monday, November 4, there is a very special treat in store for fans of country music. The Sheerin Family will be joined on stage by country legend Philomena Begley.
The show starts at 10pm and admission is free.

Music lovers are in for a treat this December when Christy Moore comes to the Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone.
Christy will be joined on stage by Martin O’Connor, Cathal Hayden, Seamie O’Dowd and Jimmy Higgins for the show on Saturday, December 7. Doors open at 7pm and show begins at 8pm.

Samaritan Christmas Festival Concert
The 22nd Annual Samaritan Christmas Concert takes place on Thursday, December 12 next in the Franciscan Friary, Athlone at 8pm. It features the Army Band of the 2nd Brigade conducted by Captain Declan Whitston, Tenor David Martin of Three Tenors Ireland, Athlone A’Cappella and the Athlone Pipe Band. Tickets €10.
