Road to Rio fundraiser barbecue and album launch

Midlands entertainer Joe Wynne will launch his debut album Missing You this coming Friday June 10 in P. Egan's, Moate.

It's part of a fundraising event for local paracyclist Declan Slevin's Road to Rio campaign.

This event is free to all and will include a barbecue.

Declan who is currently on a training camp in in France for Rio qualification will be present on the night as confirmation of Declan's qualification for the Paralympic's in Rio is expected in the coming weeks and this event will raise funds to help alleviate costs incurred to date.

Joe Wynne told the Westmeath Independent:

'I'll be launching my debut album together on Friday evening from 8pm. This is a free event and open to all, we are asking that people would make a donation at the barbecue or purchase a cd.

'The album was recorded in Roseland Studios and produced, engineered and mastered by Moate native Padraig Grogan.

'It contains 13 of my most requested songs and will be available to purchase on the night. I am asking everyone that can make it on the night to attend to show Declan and his family the support and pride the people have for his remarkable achievements to date.'
