Quality and value at new children's and maternity wear outlet in Athlone
As soon as you walk into the new Sherbet store in Athlone you are met with an impressive array of colour, variety and style. And when you talk to the store's proprietor Sarah Sweeney your first impression will be confirmed and you'll know for sure that you've come to the right place for all your children's and maternity wear needs. Located in the centre of town, right across the road from Dunnes Stores on John Broderick Street, the shop opened its doors to the public on Friday May 21. To celebrate the opening of the new store a 'customer day' will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at which cheese and wine will be offered and all items in the store will be discounted by 10%. Sherbet stocks a full range of quality products from the maternity wear line Mamalicious and the children's wear brand Name It. "Our maternity products have been selling well since we opened and both the Name It and Mamalicious brands are of very high quality," commented Sarah. "The items are also priced to offer really good value to the customer. We have a number of special opening offers of up to 50% off at the moment and some of our tops are priced from just €6.95." The children's clothing on offer caters to everyone from newborns to 9 and 10-year-olds. The Name It range recognises that children require fun, trendy, wear-resistant materials in a good and comfortable fit. Name It children's clothes come in the Newborn (0 - 6 months), Minis (6 months to 3 years) and Kids (2-10 years) sizes and styles. The Name It brand also takes pride in sustainability and responsible production, using natural, sustainable and hypoallergenic materials. The Mamalicious range is designed to allow expecting mothers dress up their bump rather than hiding it. The collection is a fashionable and comfortable range of styles designed to meet expectant mothers' needs. The design editor of the Irish Independent's Weekend magazine, Clare Hynes, recently gave birth to her second child and praised the Mamalicious range, saying: "I was reluctant to spend a lot of money on clothes for the last few months of the pregnancy and I thought the Mamalicious range was very good value." At Sherbet, everything from Mamalicious nursing bras to jeans and accessories are in stock. The Athlone store is the second branch of Sherbet to open in Ireland. The first one opened at Landmark Court, Carrick-on-Shannon, two and a half years ago. Sarah is, herself, a native of Athlone. She moved out of the area at an early age but recently returned to the town. She has a number of relatives living in the area and is looking forward to being based in Athlone for the foreseeable future. Having worked at the Sherbet store in Carrick-on-Shannon she is acutely familiar with the products offered by her store and is happy to assist customers with any questions they might have. Sarah stated that the Name It and Mamalicious brands are well-known in Athlone and she is hopeful that the convenient location of the new outlet, situated at the midpoint between the Golden Island Shopping Centre and Athlone Towncentre, will prove attractive to customers. So the next time you're in town why not call in and take a look at what Sherbet has to offer. The store is open from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 2pm to 6pm on Sundays.
