Kate Cooper's autumn winter 2010 collection is set to inspire with stunning design pieces take inspiration from chic historical references. With modern design twists, autumn/winter promises to be their stand out collection to date.
Ultra pretty feminine styles steal the show with stories such as Candy Floss Pink and Taupe. Jackie O style jacquard coats with scoop necklines and bow belt details are contemporised by
puffball hemlines while shift dresses create further luxurious details with pearl adornment on necklines. Velvet bows on cropped jackets and 1950s cut dresses are emphasised with tulle
underskirts to create a more dramatic look. Other key details include laser cut work on dresses, structured shoulder details and matching boleros with puff sleeves. Mohair coats in candy floss pink finish this luxuriously opulent story.
One of the key stories of the collection is the Chanel-inspired monochrome palette, where timeless elegant fabrics such as tweed, lace and velvet merge together to create a high end fashion look. Knitted cardigans are adorned with romantic details such a ruffle floral sleeves, and puff sleeve dresses appear with detachable pearl necklace details. Contrasting black and cream tiered silk georgette dresses look elegant when teamed with black and cream coats with fur and lace collars.
Victoriana elements also create romantic tones with vintage-inspired ornate lace blouses with Edwardian high necks, contrasting black buttons and ribbons and the essentially stylish leg-ofmutton sleeves. Simple tops also carry simple French styling as we see black and white stripe tops with extra black centre bow detailing worn with high-waisted trousers and tailored jackets. In stark contrast, contemporary Parisian styles such as animal print and leather take centre stage and sit well beside each for a timeless city look.
Other essential style pieces from this stunning new collection include sumptuous colours such as violet, sorbet lime, blue and papaya. Their equestrian-inspired sorbet lime and charcoal story creates a capsule range of mohair coats in lime and herringbone tweed jackets in peplum styles, with grosgrain ribbon bows on the back for extra opulence and luxury. White ruffle blouses look great when teamed with wide leg tweed trousers and simple jersey dresses are further emphasised with lace leg-of-mutton sleeves.
Blue satin 1950s style dresses overlaid with lace with jewel and bow details continue their Hollywood inspired story, further glamourised with fur stoles and jacquard opera coats for a truly stunning chic look.
