Celebrity chef set for Westmeath demonstration
The Westmeath county federation of The Irish Countrywomen's Association is to host a major cookery demonstration in Mullingar later this month.
Nationally the ICA has joined with celebrity chef Edward Hayden and Kinane Kitchens to host an ICA Cookery Demonstrations Roadshow across Ireland leading up to Christmas.
As part of the ICA Back to Basics mission, the cookery demonstrations will be an opportunity for ICA members and the public alike to learn new tricks, techniques and recipes that will allow audience members to cook nutritious, good value meals at home.
The Westmeath event will take place on Tuesday, October 26, at 8pm in the Bloomfield House Hotel, Mullingar.
Edward Hayden is a well-known chef and is very familiar to television and radio audiences from his cooking slots on TV3's Ireland AM and regular appearances on KCLR FM, as well as on the demonstration circuit.
Having spent a number of years teaching at Dunbrody Cookery School he also teaches adult education courses at Waterford Institute of Technology and regularly lectures An Grianán, the Irish Countrywomen's Association Adult Education Centre.
In May Edward's cookery book, 'Food To Love' was published by The O'Brien Press. His recipes have been published in a number of leading Irish newspapers and magazines.
His website www.edwardentertains.com is packed full of recipes, top culinary tips and an up to date food blog.
Avonmore has sponsored the series while supporting the ICA and chef Edward Hayden will be Kinane Kitchens, which has been operating out of Toomevara, Tipperary, for the last 35 years. The Kinane mobile kitchen will travel to each venue and provide a beautiful, realistic backdrop for each demonstration.
