Seeking talented new crafts people

Organisers of a special festival to promote crafts in Westmeath are seeking talented new crafts people Are you interested in handmade craft? Have you a stash of handmade crafts sitting in your kitchen? Do you need to know more about selling your crafts? Do you need support or advice about making money from your skills? Would you like to learn more, and have an opportunity to sell at the same time? If the answer is yes then events this week, one in Mullingar, and one in Ballinahown Craft Village, are ideal for you. The events are part of the Experience Westmeath Festival and organisers are inviting people to come long, set up a table and benefit from having experts on hand to guide and support you through the day. There will be two dates: Saturday, July 15, in Mullingar and Saturday, July 22, in Ballinahown. Organisers will also advise you on further upcoming supports that will help you make a business from your craft. Ballinahown Craft Village is just a 10 minute drive from Athlone and boasts two fantastic craft shops, Core Crafted Design and Celtic Roots Studio and the beautiful Ballinahown Tea Rooms. Core is the centre of excellence for craft in the midlands and offers retails space to local craft makers plus and extensive support and training mechanism to help develop the craft sector locally. Mullingar is home to the Made in Westmeath pop-up shop an exciting new initiative where ten local craft makers have come together to sell their hand made craft.
