Dance the night away for a good cause in Athlone!

Locals are being invited to 'Dance the Night Away' for a good cause in Athlone on Friday next (November 8).

That's when country music star Jimmy Buckley will take to the stage for a special performance at the Radisson Hotel.

Support on the night will be provided by Top Brass, and all proceeds from the event will go to the Carol Galvin Lyme Disease Treatment Fund.

Carol, who lives in Moydrum, Athlone, is a mother of one who was diagnosed with Lyme Disease earlier this year.

She now has to travel to Germany to receive expensive specialist treatment for her condition.

Tickets for the night of music and dancing to benefit this cause are priced at €15.

The event will begin at 9pm and there will be spot prizes galore on the night.
