St Brigid's to host monster fund-raising auction

St Brigids GAA club has unveiled details of a monster fund-raising auction to take place on Sunday, February 12. Funds from this year's auction will go towards the club's continued drive for an All Ireland Club Championship and to help fund coaching and development of all players to the highest standard. The club is seeking goods in saleable condition for the auction and items welcome include new electrical equipment, new or second-hand furniture, services, livestock, vouchers, fuel, bric-a-brac and unwanted gifts. The club is hopeful of an auction in the region of 250 - 300 lots of good quality items and services and would ask all patrons to contribute as little or as much as they can for this very worth while fundraiser. Auction lots already donated include: €500 holiday voucher, a River Shannon boat trip for 12 people; A year's gym membership to the Hodson Bay Leisure centre; A signed Dublin jersey; Stays in the Croke Park Hotel, Dublin and the Skeff Galway and many more quality lots…. If you have not already donated or would like to arrange collection of items for the event, please arrange to have them left to St Brigid's GAA centre between 12pm and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 4 and 5. The auction will be conducted in the same format as the previous successful monster auction, with pre-viewing on the morning of the auction from about 12 pm. All lots must sell on the day and will be without reserve. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase on the day. People wishing to bid at the auction must purchase a bidding number which will cost €3 and which is available on entry to the hall.
