Paralympians to be honoured at Farmleigh House

The Irish Paralympic team - including Ballinahown's double gold medallist Mark Rohan - will be honoured at a Government reception in Farmleigh House this afternoon. The Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, Tanaiste, Eamon Gilmore and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar will host the event which celebrates the participation and achievements of Team Ireland at the games in London. Team Ireland is due to arrive at the venue at 3pm. There were joyful scenes in Ballinahown on Tuesday evening at a homecoming event hosted for Paralympics heroes Rohan and Mullingar's Damien Shaw.
