Dolan vows to represent Moate well

Newly elected Cllr John Dolan has this week vowed to represent Moate well. The Castledaly man was last week selected to replace Moate man Joe Whelan on Westmeath County Council and said he will now represent the town to the best of his ability. "I'm replacing a Moate councillor so I will represent Moate well," said Cllr Dolan. "The last councillor in my area was the late George Allen, who was the epitome of a good public representative. He represented the whole area to the best of his ability and that's the man I would model myself on. On my last time on the council I polled votes in every box in the area. I don't mind getting stuck in and I will represent the whole area." For a full interview with your new councillor see tomorrow's Westmeath Independent
