Spectacular, Spectacular to Liven-Up Weekend

Amie Stone, of Sweet Sensation, will be entertaining on the night, as part of the Spectacular, Spectacular Singing & Dance Show at Athlone Springs Hotel.

A triumphant musical procution, entitled 'Spectacular, Spectacular Singing & Dance Show', takes place this coming weekend at the Athlone Springs Hotel in Monksland.

This large production contains hip-hop, breakdance, ballet, burlesque, and other themed dances, all under the direction of Atila Abono, a talented 16 year-old who attends Athlone Community College.

Music production is by Jessica Ray (15), while costumes and make-up are by 15 year-olds, Aoife Kilroy and Shauna Francis, and 16 year-old, Niamh Walsh. MC on the night is Ramat Alaya, of Athlone Community Radio, and comic magician, Oisin Foley will also be on-hand to provide much entertainment.

A two-hour 'After-Show Party', with Amie Stone (of Sweet Sensation), will then take place, while Deirdre Higgins, from Moate, will also be performing her charity single, 'Breaking Free.

The show hopes to raise over €2,500 in aid of Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin. Tickets are available from Golden Discs, Athlone; The Sound Factory; Savoury Fare, Monksland; or the Athlone Springs Hotel. Tickets are priced at €5 for adults and €2.50 for kids/teens.
