Award-winning filmmaker to hold course in Athlone

Award-winning filmmaker Stephen Patrick Kenny who has won numerous awards for his work, including best screenplay for The Underground which stars former WBO champion Steve Collins and best comedy for his short film Clowns, will be teaching a weekend course in Athlone this March. With over 13 years' experience Stephen started out as an actor starring alongside Kerry Katona and Liam Cunningham in RTÉ's Showbands and playing a car thief in the hit Irish comedy Intermission with Colin Farrell in the lead role. Stephen, however, gave up being in front of the camera at the age of 21 and began writing and directing films which will see his two latest films 'Caged' starring Jean Claude Van Damme and 'A London Hitman' with bad boy UK actor Danny Dyer hit our screens later this year.The young filmmaker will be teaching a two-day workshop this March in Athlone and for those with a interest in film and TV, he will be going over cold readings, accents, self-confidence, improv, networking, what and what no to do, headshots, casting directors and so much more.
