An extra date has been added to the Concannon Ganley Academy's upcoming Irish dance show at Tuar Ard in Moate.

Extra date for local Gathering dance show

An extra date has been added to the Concannon Ganley Academy’s upcoming Irish dance show, “Home”.

The show is based on the idea of The Gathering 2013. It starts in old Ireland, depicting the story of the Famine, and Irish emigration, showing why there are so many people all over the world with Irish ancestory.
It then fast forwards to 2013 and shows what The Gathering is all about - inviting these people home to celebrate our culture and heritage.

“Home” celebrates our unique culture which continues to define and unite us as a nation. As part of The Gathering 2013 people from all corners of the world are invited to come home and reconnect with our Irish culture and heritage and enjoy this spectacular Irish dancing Gathering event.

The Concannon/Ganley Academy of Irish Dance claimed three world titles at this year’s An Comhdhail World Championships last March and had 20 dancers taking part in the world championships.

Tickets for “Home” in Tuar Ard, Moate, are still available for Friday, May 17 at 8pm from Tuar Ard box office. Adults €10 Child/OAP €6.

Telephone: 090 64 82042. The shows on May 18 at 8pm and May 19 at 3pm have sold out.
