RNLI responds to two more call outs

The Lough Ree RNLI lifeboat station responded to two more emergency calls since the start of the month.
One June 8, the lifeboat service took five people from a cruiser that was grounded close to Robin Island on Lough Ree.
The 37ft cruiser was stuck fast, but no water was on board. The passengers were taken to Hodson Bay and all were reported safe and healthy.
On June 2, the crew launched at around 8.40pm to a 26-foot cruiser which had also ran aground near Green Island, after engine trouble.
Four people on board were safe and well and the vessel was towed from the rocks back to Quigley’s Marina.
The two call outs bring the number of ‘shouts’ the RNLI has responded to since its inception to 25.
