A man in his late 20s is appearing in court today in connection with a seizure of cannabis worth €280,000 in Athleague yesterday.
The discovery was made as part of an operation targeting the cultivation of cannabis in the Roscommon area by Gardai from the Roscommon Divisional Drug unit.
During a planned search of a rural house in Athleague yesterday morning cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €280,000 were recovered in the house.
The man was arrested at the scene and will come before Castlerea District Court today.
