Bressie and Tinchy Stryder to perform at teen concert in Kilbeggan

Bressie

There's an impressive line-up in place for a Teen Aware concert - strictly for the 12 to 19 age group - which takes place in Kilbeggan tomorrow (Friday).

Bressie and Tinchy Stryder are among those who will perform at the concert in the American Auto Club Grounds in Kilbeggan.

This is the fourth year the event has taken place. Thousands of teenagers have attended in the past, and this year organisers are hopeful of a similar turn out.

The main stage acts this year are: Tinchy Stryder And The Insomniacs; Union J; Bressie; Hogan; Ruaile Buaile; Derek Warfield And The Young Wolfe Tones; and Fresh Ré.

Athlone's 'Voice of Ireland' star Jay Boland will also be performing at the concert.

On the Palate Village Stage are: Kayleigh Noble; Olivia Burke; John Gaughan; Mic-a-blaze and Hip Hop Crew; Mark Boylan; Celtic Blondes; and Rugged Wood.

Tickets are €20 and are available at teenaware.ie or: Supermacs Mullingar, Athlone, Tullamore, Edenderry, Ferbane and Moate; the cafe across from the school in Kilbeggan (and other outlets).

Representatives from a number of different professional agencies will also be on site to help make teenagers aware of the help and support that’s available to them.

Those in attendance will be encouraged to interact and familiarise themselves with the services available to them in areas such as mental health, road safety, bullying, substance abuse, positive living and physical health and fitness.

Spokesperson Bruce McCormack has asked parents to encourage their sons or daughters to attend the event and take the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the support/advice available to help deal with these life issues which they may face in their teenage years.

Organisers have thanked the numerous statutory bodies and local agencies and organisations who have supported the event.

The event runs from 1.30pm-11pm and Teen Aware run a very strict policy on admission and behaviour on the day.

Buses will run and details are available from concertbus.ie. Food and drinks will be available at the venue as no liquids are permitted through entry.

Visit Facebook, www.teenaware.ie or contact info@teenaware.ie for any other details.
