Athlone 'Family Fun Day' planned for guide dogs charity

A 'family fun day' featuring football matches, face painting, music, fun and games is planned at the Athlone Town FC stadium this Sunday (June 29). 

The event has been organised to raise money for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.

It will include a charity match between St Peter's FC Legends and Gentex Legends (at 2pm) and another between Midlands Referees and Roscommon Referees (at 4pm).

There will also be a kids' obstacle course, face painting, a clown show for kids, Irish dancers, Music by Double Trouble - Michael Woods and Cheryl Stewart - and a raffle. Free finger food will also be provided.

Entry costs €5 for adults, while entry for kids is free.
