Latest athlone little theatre production proves a hit

Due to the high demand for tickets, Athlone Little Theatre’s production of ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ has been extended for two extra nights and will now run until this Friday, October 10. Curtain up at 8pm. For booking for the two extra dates, call 090 6474324.

‘Witness for the Prosecution’ is acknowledged as one of Agatha Christie’s best ever thrillers and is a fantastic example of Christie’s unrivalled ability to hold the audience in the palm of her hand and to keep them guessing right to the very end.

She is undoubtedly the master when it comes to plot twists and turns and all her skill is on display with this production.

Director Mel O’Flynn has been working tirelessly with her cast over the past couple of months and the result has already proved a hit with Athlone audiences over the last eight nights. Did he do it? No one knows! The audience will have to wait until the end or will they figure it out? This is the joy of watching an Agatha Christie masterpiece.

With a stellar cast and a dedicated and hardworking crew such as Geoff Boles, Bronagh Connolly, John Allen, Peter Martin, Olivia Grogan and Anthony Quinn, Mel has put together a memorable show. The set is superb and the audience will be transported to a 1950s English courtroom.
