Wagon wheel singer gets festive in rosemount

It’s may only be approaching Halloween, but it’s already Christmas in the famed Grouse Lodge in Rosemount.

Well, certainly for recording purposes anyway! Country sensation Nathan Carter has been spending time recently putting down tracks for his upcoming Christmas album in the world famous studio, a venue which has already played host to the likes of Snow Patrol, REM and Paulo Nutini in the past.

The Liverpool-born singer, best known for his massive hit ‘Wagon Wheel’, excitedly tweeted last Monday: “Delighted to say I’m recording my Christmas album over the next few days here in the famous Grouse lodge Studios! All work and no play lol”.

The following day, another rising star of the country and Irish music scene, Donegal’s Lisa McHugh, was also enthusing about her Grouse Lodge experience on Twitter: “Had a great time down in Grouse Lodge studios yesterday filming with Nathan... Even if he didn’t know we were...”.

Earlier today, Nathan Carter posted a picture of himself on Facebook with his feet up listening to tracks for the new album which is expected to come out in the run-up to Christmas.
“Listening to some of the tracks from my Christmas Album!!! #veryexcited,” the post stated.

With five hit albums and DVDs, Nathan Carter is the biggest attraction on the Irish music scene at present, and is credited with bringing a whole new generation of fans of all ages to country music in Ireland in recent times.

His current album ‘Where I wanna be’ recently reached the coveted number one position in the Irish charts, and his new ‘Live in Concert’ DVD has just been filmed on location in Letterkenny, and will be on sale just in time for Christmas.
