Loaves and Fishes, Mardyke Street, has been nominated for an award by the Restaurants Assocation of Ireland.

The popular eaterie is in the running for ‘Best Casual Dining’ in Leinster at the prestigious award ceremony, which will be held in Dublin next week.

Loaves and Fishes was nominated by a member of the public before being judged to make it through the regional final.

All county winners in Leinster will be announced at the awards ceremony in the Clyde Court Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin, on Tuesday evening next.

These awards are the largest and most coveted accolades in the Irish restaurant industry.

They recognise achievement and excellence in the restaurant and hospitality industry throughout the island of Ireland in 25 categories and celebrate all aspects of the industry from chefs and restaurant managers, to restaurants, cafes and gastro pubs, to hotel restaurants and cookery schools.

The awards are in their seventh year, and have gone from strength to strength since their inception in 2008.
