Moate to host inaugural midlands craft beer festival

The first ever Midlands Craft Beer Festival hits Moate this weekend!

The inaugural event takes place in Don’s Bar, Moate this Sunday, August 16 next from 3pm to 9pm.

A must for craft beer lovers or those keen to taste some local brews, the event will feature seven craft beer companies from around the country including the well known White Hag Brewery from Sligo, Bo Bristle from Banagher in Offaly and Roscommon’s Black Donkey, who make the popular Sheep Stealer brew.

Other attendees include St Mel’s from Longford, Reel Deel from Mayo, O’Cleirigh’s from Cavan and the Vanguard Beer Collective will be bringing Tempted Cider to Moate for the occasion.

There will also be live music from the very talented Crooked Jacks and fabulous Toxic Twins. In addition, there will be a pig on a spit and a barbecue for the event which also acts as a fundraiser for Moate GAA.

Tickets are €10 which includes two beer tokens and are available now from Don’s Bar in Moate and at the door. While it is an outdoor event there will be marquees set up, so don’t be put off by the weather!
