Knock airport handles annual passenger output of 700,000

Shane Ross TD and Patrick O’Donovan TD have offered their congratulations to Ireland West Airport Knock (IWAK) on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

“I wish to express my congratulations and convey good wishes to Ireland West Airport Knock which celebrated its 30th anniversary at the weekend” Minister Ross said.

The National Aviation Policy which was finalised and published last August, recognises the role of Knock Airport in terms of regional access, including the Wild Atlantic Way, which will continue to be important for regional development as our national economic recovery continues.

Minister O’Donovan said that the Airport has gone from strength to strength over the past 30 years and currently handles an annual passenger output of 700,000.

“IWAK is important for both business and tourism development in the North West and we wish the Airport continued success in the future,” the Ministers said.
