Senator Daly wants Brexit process moved forward for sake of Irish economy

Senator Paul Daly has warned that Irish exports and agri business will suffer the longer Brexit takes.

Speaking in the Seanad, the Kilbeggan man said more needs to be done to help the 'community in general' with regard to the fluctuation in sterling.

The Westmeath and Fianna Fáil’s senstor said: 'this is going to be our biggest loss possibly, and our biggest hit.

'Once the exit details are being negotiated, who knows - we'll be in there and we'll be part of them (negotiations) and things won't be as bad as certain people are painting them.'

Daly is calling on the Taoiseach to move the process forward as quickly as possible.
