Choral Society gears up for Christmas

The Athlone Choral Society are tuning up for their annual Christmas concert which is being held in St Mary’s Church of Ireland, Church Street, Athlone on Sunday at 6pm.

The seasonal repertoire, chosen by Musical Directors Dr Joe Ryan and Andrius Kozlovskis and performed by the choir includes the Christmas carols ‘Coventry Carol, ‘Rocking’ and the beautiful ’In the Bleak mid-winter’. Together with Advent Readings and performances from invited guests the Pasadh Brass Quintet, it promises to be a very enjoyable evening.

Tickets, at a cost of €10, are available from choir members and at the door on the night.
