APPEAL FOR INFORMATION: Gardai investigate pub break-in

Cigarettes worth between €800 to €1,000 were taken from a pub in Dysart last week, according to Gardai.

The premises in the village was broken into during the early hours of Tuesday, November 29 last, and there was damage to a cigarette machine and snooker table.

Gardai say that cigarettes, along with a small quantity of coins, were taken in the break-in.

They are appealing for  anyone who saw anything out of the ordinary in or around Dysart between 3.30am and 10am on November 29 last to contact Clonark Garda Station on 09064 37102 or Roscommon Garda Station on 09066 38300 in the strictest of confidence.

Meanwhile Gardai in Athlone are investigating thefts from two vehicles in the town last week, one of which involved €2,300 worth of tools being stolen.
