Car burnt out in early hours of morning

A car was burnt out on the Leinster side of Athlone in the early hours of this morning.

The car had been parked overnight at St Mary's Place and at about 5am it was maliciously set on fire.

Gardai in Athlone are investigating the incident and have appealed for anyone with any information or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact Athlone Garda Station on 090 6498550.
