VIDEO: The big moments at the Westmeath Style Awards

The fourth annual Westmeath Style Awards, organised by the Westmeath Independent and Westmeath Examiner, were held in Mullingar's Greville Arms Hotel, on Friday night.

There were ten category awards, an Overall Excellence in Style Award and a coveted best dressed on the night prize.

This year's ceremony was hoted by broadcaster Anna Daly. Main sponsor was Specsavers Athlone and Mullingar.

The top prize the Overall Excellence in Style Award was reserved to the end of proceedings with each category winner in with a chance.

Here's the big reveal of this year's winner and the identity of the best dressed winner, who received a 350 euro shopping voucher from Shaw's Department Store.

And there was great excitement earlier in the night when the identity of each category winner was revealed. Here's some of the best bits.

The Best Hair Salon award was contested by Color Starz, Athlone, Medussa Hair Studio, Athlone and Xtreme Hair and Beauty, Castlepollard with the winner being announced here:

 

There were two Athlone businesses shortlisted for the Best in Bridal Awards, Love My Hair and Lash and Brow, with the third finalist being 2210 Patisserie, Mullingar.

The finalists for Best Fashion Boutique were Laura Ashley, Athlone, Tatters, Mullingar and Vila, Mullingar.

The finalists in the Best in Beauty Salon and Spa category were Gildea's Beauty Suite, Kinnegad, Nails by Anna, Athlone and First Floor Hair and Beauty Studio, Mullingar.
