Special event at Fernhill Garden Centre on Thursday

Fernhill Garden Centre in Cornamagh, Athlone, will mark its refurbishment and expanded Savoury Fare restaurant on Thursday evening (June 21) with a Mid-Summer's Day event. 
Everyone is welcome to come along to the event for some light refreshments and to view the new 200-seater Savoury Fare restaurant and the newly refurbished Fernhill shop. 
The restaurant will be officially opened and all loyal and new customers and friends are welcome along to the event which will get underway at 5pm.
Co-owner Eoin Reid said: “We are creating a destination garden centre for the Midlands. We have upgraded our gift centre. We are in existence for 40 years and Savoury Fare is 23 years in business, so it's a really strong partnership. The restaurant has a great ambience.” 
He said it is wonderful to reach the 40-year milestone of the business, adding: “We are 40 years and growing. We have big ambitions for the future.”
There is a playground located beside the new restaurant, while there is also an outdoor dining area and an outdoor rose garden.
