Road closures to facilitate gas pipeline to Center Parcs site

DETAILS of road closures to facilitate the delivery of natural gas to the Center Parcs site in Ballymahon have been outlined.
The details were disclosed at information sessions held in Tang and Baylin recently where staff from Gas Networks Ireland were on hand to answer any queries from the public.
There will be a traffic management plan and road closures in various locations from this week until October. This is to facilitate the work, during weekdays between 7am and 7pm, along regional and local roads from Ories to Tang and also along the N55 connecting in Rathmore. This is the second phase of the project and it measures 21 kilometres in length.
The first phase of the works, measuring 6 kilometres in length, runs from Rathmore, along the N55 into Ballymahon and then along the R392 to the Center Parcs site. The work began in February 2018, and is now nearing completion. Gas Works Ireland is liaising with Westmeath County Council in relation to the road closures.
