The County Final of Macra Na Feirme's Stock Judging competition was held recently. Members from six clubs participated in all sections were held in Ballyjamesduff Chilling Factory, while the store cattle and the dairy sections were held on the farm of Mr. Jim Reilly, Kildoragh, and at Kilnacrott Abbey. Judges were Mr. Michael Swords, Mr. Jim Bracken and Mr. Patrick McNamee. The competition was sponsored by Mr. Paddy Kelly, Ballyjamesduff. The winners were - P. J. Brady, Lurgan ( beef section ); Maura Clarke, Virginia ( sheep section ), and Joseph Sheridan, Cross ( dairy section ) who will represent the county at the national final at the RDS Spring Show in May.
