The Well to host Lourdes fundraiser

Comments (0) | Print | Email

The annual Carmelite Lourdes Fund party night takes place in The Well in Moate on Tuesday, February 16 next.

The annual event has always been a real crowd pleaser and this year promises to be no different.

The line up features a host of stars such as Tony Allen (of Foster & Allen), T.R. Dallas, P.J. Murrihy, Triona Moore of the Daniel O'Donnell Band, Brendan Lee, Frank Nelson, Johnny Mullen, John Hogan, Danny Sheerin and the old reliables, the Carmelite Lourdes Band featuring Josie Adamson, Paddy Bracken, Damien Scally and Joe King. And you never know what other celebrities might appear on the night, and the Carmelite Lourdes Fund's loyal friend for all those many years, Tom Curtin, will be there to compere the show.

This is a very important event for the Moate branch of the Carmelite Lourdes Fund Committee, Moate Branch and in its 20th year is one of the longest-running fundraisers in the region.

A spokesperson for the committee said it really appreciated the support from the public for this night each year and hoped that a similar level of backing would be available on Tuesday night.

All proceeds from the night goes to help take some sick pilgrims to Lourdes. Doors open at 8pm. Show starts at approx 9pm. Admission only €10.

Your support will be very much appreciated.
