Sheerins join forces to form a full seven-piece country band
It's a question that has been asked a thousand times: When are you all going to get together and start a big band?
At last the Sheerin's have formed a full seven-piece band and are performing their first gig on Monday, January 30 in Cooney's Hotel in Ballymahon. The show starts at 10pm and admission is free.
Many people will already know each member of this band from playing in your local pub, dance hall or nightclub. Or just pick up any Irish country album and you will see these guys have graced it with their unique talents. Now finally, The Sheerin Family has gotten together for the first time ever to play good country Music.
The band consists of seven family members out of eleven including Paul on steel guitar, Dessie on bass, Danny on vocals and acoustic guitar, Kieran on piano, Tom on fiddle, Simon on drums and Carmel on vocals and acoustic guitar. Their unique sound and crisp harmonies will leave the hairs standing on the back of your neck. The family will be performing on the last Monday of every month throughout 2012 in Cooneys's Hotel in Ballymahon.
