Westmeath unchanged for crunch clash against Offaly
Pat Flanagan has named an unchanged Westmeath team for this Sunday's crunch Allianz Football League Division 3 clash against Offaly at Cusack Park, Mullingar (2.30pm). Westmeath defeated Limerick by two points (0-14 to 0-12) at Newcastlewest last Sunday, and the same starting fifteen will take the field for the winner-takes-all clash against Offaly. Victory for Westmeath will secure promotion to Division 2 for 2012, while a draw will be enough for Offaly to advance to Division 2 next season at the Lake County's expense. Westmeath finished the Limerick match last weekend with just 15 fifteen players after Brendan Murtagh, Paul Greville and Dessie Dolan were sent off. But, as all three were dismissed on two yellow cards, all three are eligible for Sunday's clash. Sunday's eagerly-awaited clash sees Westmeath manager Pat Flanagan come up against his native Offaly, and the fact that promotion is at stake for both counties adds additional spice to the local derby. WESTMEATH SF v OFFALY: Gary Connaughton; Francis Boyle, Kieran Gavin, John Gaffey; Ger Egan, Aidan Finnan, Doran Harte; Brendan Murtagh, Denis Corroon; Paul Sharry, David Glennon, Conor Lynam; Paul Greville, Dessie Dolan, Denis Glennon.
