All South Roscommon county final in store

AN all-South Roscommon senior county final has been set-up after last weekend's Roscommon SFC semi-finals.

St Brigid's, bidding for a hat-trick of county titles, defeated Elphin last weekend, while Padraig Pearses (only promoted from the intermediate ranks last year) defeated Roscommon Gaels in their last-four encounter.

A big day now awaits both sets of supporters at Dr Hyde Park.

Meanwhile, Mullingar Shamrocks beat St Loman's in their Westmeath SFC semi-final replay at Cusack Park, to set-up a repeat of the last two Flanagan Cup finals against Garrycastle. See more details in Wednesday's Westmeath Independent.
