Brian Hanley will field the same Westmeath team that beat London at Ruislip last weekend.

Hurlers unchanged for visit of Waterford

WESTMEATH hurling manager Brian Hanley has named an unchanged Lake County team for this weekend’s All-Ireland SHC Qualifier against Waterford (Saturday, Cusack Park, 5pm).

The Midlanders have opted to make no changes to the side that somewhat struggled to defeat London at Ruislip last weekend.

Waterford beat Offaly in last weekend’s first round qualifiers and will be expected to see-off Westmeath at Cusack Park.

Richie Foley and Pauric Mahony have been recalled to the Waterford team. Foley came on as a substitute against Offaly after recovering from a long-running injury and is named at midfield by Michael Ryan with Jamie Nagle making way. Mahony, meanwhile, will line out at centre-forward in place of Jamie Barron.

Westmeath Team to Play Waterford: Peter Collins; Liam Varley, Tommy Gallagher, Paul Fennell; David Fennell, Alan McGrath, Adam Price; Eoin Price (capt), Joe Clarke; Brendan Murtagh, Aaron Craig, Derek McNicholas; Niall O’Brien, Robbie Greville, John Shaw.
