All GAA club games in Westmeath this weekend called off

All club GAA games scheduled to take place in Westmeath this weekend have been called off.

A number of All County Football League games were listed for this weekend, in addition to hurling action in the Feis Cup and Intermediate Cup.

However, with the county and indeed large parts of the country gripped by stormy and wet weather, the decision has been taken to postpone all fixtures.

“Based on the appalling weather we have endured over the last few days, and taking into account the conditions of pitches, a decision has been taken to cancel the full round of fixtures scheduled for this weekend,” said a statement from Westmeath GAA Fixtures Secretary Pat Reilly.
