Top class athletics in Athlone

The Woodies DIY indoor athletics championships continues in Athlone IT's indoor arena on Sunday, with a plethora of finals.

Top Irish athletes are competing today and tomorrow. All eyes will be on Waterford athlete Kelly Proper who, fresh from her long jump win today, will be aiming for a record 16th national title in the 200 metres.

Others to watch out for on Sunday include the 800m battle between Ciara Everard and Roseanne Galligan, David McCarthy in the men's 1500m and Athlone IT athlete John Travers in the 3,000m.
