Athlone head to UCD with injury worries

Athlone Town head to UCD tonight for their third game in the Premier League of the SSE Airtricity League.

Athlone will be hoping to end their points duck, having lost to Sligo Rovers (2-1) and Shamrock Rovers (4-1) in their opening games.

UCD, though also pointless, were impressive when losing out narrowly to reigning champions St Patrick's Athletic (3-2) last weekend in Richmond Park.

Athlone are suffering from something of a mini-injury crisis. Captain Aidan Collins is definitely out with an arm injury sustained against Shamrock Rovers last weekend.

Neil Harney, Conor McMahon and James O'Brien are also all doubtful with knocks.

UCD are managed by former Athlone boss Aaron Callaghan and their squad could include Athlonians Robbie Benson and Tom O'Halloran, who both lined out with their hometown club prior to enrolling as students in the college.

Kick off in the UCD Bowl is 7.45pm
