Countdown begins to triAthlone 2014

THE 2014 Waterways Ireland triAthlone is now only two months and two weeks away, and thousands of athletes and spectators will be expected to flood into the town for the latest staging of the successful event.

This year’s event will take place in Athlone on Saturday, July 5, and registration for the event is available through the website www.triathlone.com

As is the case annually since the event was launched in 2004, triAthlone will attract a multi-national field this year.

And following on from the excitement that was the 2013 National Sprint Distance Championships, the organisers of the event have confirmed that triAthlone is now back on the Triathlon Ireland National Series again for 2014.

Waterways Ireland triAthlone has an event to challenge participants of all fitness levels, from the beginner to the elite athlete.

For 2014, the triAthlone events are: Sprint Distance (Irish National Series 2014), Sprint Relay, Paratriathlon (Irish National Championships 2014), SuperSprint (Perfect for beginners).
