John Heslin will be trying to help Westmeath to a second league win tomorrow.

Westmeath and rossies strive for league success

BOTH Westmeath and Roscommon will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to National Football League Division 2 this weekend.

Westmeath managed to get their league campaign off to a winning start last weekend against Laois at Cusack Park, Mullingar (winning 1-12 to 0-10), and Tom Cribbin’s side welcome Galway to Mullingar tomorrow (Sunday). Throw-in at Cusack Park is scheduled for 2pm. Meath’s Cormac Reilly is down to officiate.

Roscommon, meanwhile, had to settle for a share of the spoils in their opening Division 2 fixture against Cavan in Kiltoom last weekend. Their second league fixture takes place tonight (Saturday) against Down at Pairc Esler, Newry (7pm). Derry’s Barry Cassidy will be the referee.

In the weekend’s other Division 2 fixtures, Meath face Kildare on Saturday night at Pairc Tailteann, Navan (7pm), while Laois entertain Cavan on Saturday (also 7pm) at Portlaoise.
