Kilbride in line for gaa gong

ROSCOMMON forward Senan Kilbride could be in line to win the first GAA/GPA Player of the Month award, sponsored by Opel, for the 2015 season.

After his scintillating man of the match display for Roscommon in their National Football League Division 2 Final win against Down, Kilbride has been announced on a three-strong shortlist of nominees for the April award. Kilbride will be expected to lead the Roscommon charge when they open their Connacht SFC campaign against London on May 24.

Along with St Brigid’s clubman Kilbride, the other nominess are Colm O’Neill (Cork) and Jack McCaffrey (Dublin).

In Hurling. the nominees for the monthly award are Kevin Moran (Waterford), Seamus Harnedy (Cork) and Noel Connors (Waterford).

The winners of the GAA/GPA Opel Player of the Month Awards will be chosen by the inter-county playing body, and will be announced at a presentation in Croke Park on Wednesday, May 13.
