Corroon given the nod as westmeath make three changes
The recently returned Denis Corroon has been drafted straight into the Westmeath team for Sunday’s Leinster SFC quarter-final against Wexford at Cusack Park (3.30pm).
Corroon only recently rejoined the Westmeath senior football panel, as he has been working in the UK.
In total, there are three changes in personnel from the win over Louth – with Paul Sharry and Ronan Foley also included in the starting XV.
The players to lose out from the Louth game are Callum McCormack, John Stapleton (both of whom are carrying injuries) and John Egan.
One notable positional switch sees the versatile Kieran Martin moved from centre-back to corner-forward.
The winners of Sunday’s game in Mullingar will face either Meath or Wicklow in the Leinster semi-finals, while the loser will take on Down in the first round of the All-Ireland Qualifiers.
