Westmeath star John Heslin scored a brilliant goal with less than 15 seconds gone in last Sunday's SFC final.
Heslin of St Loman's Mullingar won the throw-in, exchanged passes with David Windsor and fired the ball into the top corner of the Tyrrellspass net.
The early goal set St Loman's on their way to victory over Tyrrellspass as the Mullingar side won their Westmeath senior title in a row.
Heslin scored a second goal late in the game to seal the victory and the victorious captain also picked up the official man-of-the-match award, to cap a day to remember.
St Loman's won the final on a 3-13 to 0-14 scoreline (see report in this week's Westmeath Independent), the second year in a row which they defeated Tyrrellspass in the final. St Loman's overcame Castledaly in the 2015 decider, the first part of their treble.
Garrycastle were the last club to win three senior titles in a row (2009 to 2011) and next year St Loman's will be trying to emulate the achievement of Mullingar Shamrocks, who won four in a row from 1992 to 1995.
