Tom O'Connor brings his lunchtime cabaret to Athlone

Lunchtime entertainment is here to stay. It started in the USA and has caught the public imagination here too. Enjoy a superb four-course lunch and a top class cabaret show and still be at home for the 6.1 news!! - or your favourite TV programme.

Tom O'Connor is a household name in these islands. His numerous T.V. shows include "Name that Tune", "Gambit", "Zodiac", and "A Question of Entertainment". He regularly tops the bill in theatres and clubs across the UK and has just finished his summer touring show, visiting pretty much every major holiday resort in Britain.

Tom O'Connor will bring his lunchtime cabaret show to the Hodson Bay Hotel on Monday, October 12 at 1pm.

Tom is joined on the show by Helen Jordan and Gerry Farrelly.

Helen has many TV shows to her credit including RTE's "Sunday Night at the Olympia" and "Sunday Night at the Gaiety" and has sung at Music Festivals across Europe. She was highly acclaimed for her appearance in the "Tony Hatch TV Special". She is the boss of one of the largest stage/dance schools in Europe. In Limerick she was a regular performer at both the Parkway Hotel and the Greenhills Hotel.

Gerry Farrelly will be remembered as one half of that vibrant duo "The Values" - Ireland's leading harmony act through the 1980's and 90's. Gerry is now a solo performer with a recent summer season at Doyles Irish Cabaret at the Burlington under his belt and last summer at Taylors Three Rock cabaret in south Dublin. He also fronts his own band and is an accomplished compere
