Photography club to host beginner's course

Want to get more from your digital camera or SLR?

Why not sign up for a beginner's course in photography being run by Midlands Photography Club starting this September.

This is the second year that the Athlone-based club is offering this interesting and fun beginners course in photography. The course is run over six weeks and is aimed at people new to photography and those wishing to improve their camera skills.

Some of the topics covered will include: introduction to cameras; shutter and aperture settings; composition; the importance of lighting, and people and portraits.

The course, which will be given by local professional photographers, will start on Wednesday September 30th and will run every Wednesday for six weeks. The fee for the course is €100 which will include a bonus of one year's membership to Midlands Photography Club (2009/2010).

To book a place come along to the club's next meeting on Wednesday, September 16th at 7.30pm in the Prince of Wales Hotel in Athlone to register on the night. For more information about the course please contact Caroline on 086 3755535.
