CIPD to host networking event and season launch at Kilbeggan Races
The midlands branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is set to unveil details of the launch of its programme of events for 2011/2012 at a social networking event in Kilbeggan on Friday next. This event, which is supported by the Kilbeggan Races, will take place at Kilbeggan Racecourse at 4pm on Friday, September 2. This is the first in an exciting programme of events for 2011/2012 provided by the CIPD Midlands Region Committee. The overriding theme throughout the upcoming programme of events will focus on "Providing a Practical Approach to People Management". This first event will be a social and networking event held at the last meeting of the season at Kilbeggan Racecourse. The event is kindly sponsored by Kilbeggan Races and promises to be an entertaining evening which will include launch of programme, an opportunity for networking whilst enjoying the exciting atmosphere of the races and your chance to hopefully pick a winner! The CIPD Midlands region provides a forum for HR and business leaders in both public and private enterprises to network and share information, skills and best practice in the area of Human Resource Management, Employment Law, Employee and Industrial Relations. The CIPD Midlands region is an active member of the Midlands Gateway Chamber and works closely with AIT, FAS, Enterprise Ireland, IDA and other Midlands agencies to support regional initiatives and to promote people development and business performance. The speakers on the evening will be Tom Ryan, Chairperson, CIPD Midlands Committee, and Paddy Dunican, Manager, The Racecourse, Kilbeggan Races.
