Council swimming pools to reopen next week
In line with the government’s decisions on the easing of restrictions, Westmeath County Council has confirmed this morning that its pools and other facilities are to reopen next week.
Mullingar Swimming Pool and Athlone Regional Sports Centre will reopen for individual training on Monday June 7.
Contact the pools directly regarding the resumption of swimming lessons.
Belvedere House Gardens and Park, Athlone Castle and Luan Gallery are now open, and libraries are open for browsing and borrowing.
All council playgrounds, play areas, and parks remain open.

The council asks that customers tax their vehicles online through www.motortax.ie.
