Duration of orange-level storm warning shortened in Midlands
The length of time for which an orange-level wind warning will be in effect in counties Offaly, Westmeath and Roscommon this afternoon and evening has been shortened by Met Éireann.
The weather warning associated with Storm Bram came into effect in the Midlands counties at 11am today (Tuesday) and was originally due to last until 9pm.
However, in an update at 11.45am, Met Éireann revised the timing, with the orange level warning for our area now due to end at 7pm.
A less-severe status yellow wind warning for the country will remain in effect until 9pm.
As of 12 noon, the storm had not yet had any significant impact in the region, though winds were starting to pick up speed.
