Westmeath Arts Office to support creative residency programme
Westmeath based artists of all disciplines are being offered an opportunity to make new work at a residency programme in Cow House Studios Wexford.
Westmeath County Council Arts Office is supporting a professional artist (of any discipline including circus, dance, music, theatre, literature, visual arts, film and architecture) to attend the residency programme from April 27-May 24 2026.
The Cow House Studios Open Residency Programme is intended to offer artists critically valuable time and space to become immersed, research and make new work.
The residency aims to minimise distraction and ensure that momentum gained while working in the studio can be acted upon, helping to make even shorter stays highly productive.
Residence fees will be paid directly by Westmeath Arts Office.
The successful artist must not be in third level education and not be in receipt of a 2025/26 Artist Bursary.
Applicants are invited to apply for the residency progamme on westmeathculture.ie.
The closing date for applications is Thursday, January 8 2026 at 12pm.
